This is the original MBSR 8-week programme developed by Jon Kabat Zinn in 1979.
The course consists of :
– Pre-course meeting – in person or via Skype
– 8 sessions of 2.5 hours each
– A Full Day of Practice on Sunday 18th November
The programme includes guided mindfulness meditation practices, mindful movement (gentle yoga and walking), informal mindfulness practices, and home practices.
The practices include the Body Scan Meditation, Sitting Meditation, Mindful Movement and Walking Meditation.
A commitment to attend all classes and to a 45 mintes- one hour daily home practice is very important to fully benefit from the course. Course materials include the course handbook, a workbook and recorded guided practices

About the teacher: Paola Vais is a fully qualified MBSR and Breathworks Mindfulness teacher, and adhere to the Good Practice Guidelines as established by the Mindfulness Teacher Network Ireland and the Uk network, which include attending CPD events yearly, and regular supervision.
